Stratora v2.5.0 Released
Stratora 2.5.0 turns audit-log forwarding into a complete event stream, redesigns Home, puts your sites on the map, and gives every node a cleaner detail page — alongside a refreshed look and feel and security and installer hardening.
Event stream — syslog now forwards everything
Syslog forwarding now covers every Stratora event, not just audit actions: alerts (fired, resolved, acknowledged, muted, suppressed), escalation steps and outcomes, notification delivery attempts and results, security events (authorization denied, failed enrollment, license blocks, rejected webhooks), and system events (shutdown, upgrade, retention purge). Every event carries a stable type, category, and a meaningful severity.
Each destination can forward only the categories you choose and only events at or above a minimum severity. Delivery is at-least-once and survives restarts and receiver outages — events are staged in a transactional outbox and forwarded from a persisted cursor, and receivers dedupe on the event id. A new Lag column shows each destination's unsent backlog.
Home, redesigned
A redesigned Home with KPI history — node states and active-alert totals over time, filled in retroactively on upgrade — and a world map that fits and pans.
Your sites on the map
Place a site from the site form or the setup wizard: address suggestions as you type, a picker map, or raw coordinates — or "Don't show on maps" for sites with no physical place. Adding or editing a site is now a three-step wizard. The Sites page shows which sites aren't on the map yet, with counts, and Find locations places existing sites from their stored address (assisted — nothing is saved until you accept a match). Address lookup is configurable in Settings → System: Photon by default, a self-hosted Photon or Nominatim server, or off.
Node detail and nodes list
A node's detail page now lays its panels out in a responsive grid, with virtualization rosters and Recent Tasks. The nodes list gains a "Degraded or Critical" status filter and multi-status links.
A refreshed look and feel
A refreshed visual design across pages, tables, and dialogs — cleaner layouts and more consistent components throughout. Status and severity colors are now consistent everywhere, so the same color means the same thing on every page, badge, dot, and chart. And there's a new Light mode (Beta) alongside the default dark theme, plus a System option that follows your operating system — choose it from your profile menu.
Security and installer hardening
The backend API now binds to loopback (127.0.0.1) instead of all interfaces, fronted through NGINX; upgrades migrate a stale all-interfaces default once, while preserving a deliberate choice. The app's HTML entry point and static assets now carry the full security-header set, hashed assets are immutable, and missing assets return 404 instead of app HTML. Reinstalling over a preserved database no longer leaves the backend unable to start, and the Alerts time-range filter is faster on large histories.
Upgrade and known issues
2.5.0 upgrades in place from 2.4.4. A handful of known issues ship with workarounds — including a note on Let's Encrypt certificate renewal and a post-"Repair" step — see the changelog for the full list and the exact steps.
